Cathay Pacific has been recognized with three awards at TheDesignAir Awards 2024, including the title of Design Airline of the Year, Asia. The airline achieved an overall Design Score of 81.9, ranking it among the top six design airlines globally.

The Hong Kong-based airline also won Best New Business Class for its Aria Suite and Best New Premium Economy for products launched in October 2024 on its retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

Vivian Lo, Cathay General Manager Customer Experience and Design, stated: "We at Cathay Pacific are honoured to be recognised with these awards from TheDesignAir. She added that their new Aria Suite Business class and Premium Economy cabin products focus on human-centric design aimed at customer comfort.

Jonny Clark, Founder and Director of TheDesignAir, commented: “Cathay Pacific’s Aria Suite launch impressed our judges with a residential, passenger-centric approach to design. From airborne art galleries to intuitive seat design and soft trim and finish details across both Business class and Premium Economy, there is a new lease of life in the airline’s fleet as the 777-300ER retrofit takes place."

TheDesignAir Awards combine expert judging with public voting. Airlines are assessed based on criteria such as ground products, uniforms, service design, seating arrangements, livery designs, and digital branding. Cathay Pacific excelled in all areas.

These achievements add to Cathay Pacific's accolades this year. It was named among the top five world’s best airlines by Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024 and ranked in the top three best premium airlines by AirlineRatings. Additionally, its Economy class was declared world’s best by Skytrax.

These honors reflect Cathay Pacific's commitment to enhancing customer experience through superior design as part of its vision to become one of the world's leading service brands.
