American Airlines is set to expand its operations from New York's LaGuardia Airport with new domestic and international routes. The airline will introduce three new flights, including two to Montana and one to Canada. According to Upgraded Points, the new routes from LaGuardia will commence on June 7, 2025, and run until August 30, 2025. The destinations include Bozeman and Kalispell in Montana, as well as Calgary in Alberta.

These flights will operate once a week on Saturdays when LaGuardia's perimeter rule is relaxed. Notably, the flight to Kalispell will cover over 2,000 miles. Additionally, American Airlines plans to launch two more Canadian routes: Chicago O’Hare to Halifax starting June 21 until October 4, and Dallas-Fort Worth to Quebec City from August 9 through November 1. These services will utilize the Embraer E175 regional jet.

Ishrion Aviation reports that American Airlines will also increase frequencies on some Canada-bound flights from Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina next year.

As the holiday season approaches, American Airlines has announced it expects nearly 12.7 million passengers across more than 118,000 flights between December 18, 2024, and January 6, 2025. The busiest travel day is anticipated to be December 27.

Looking forward to summer of next year, American Airlines plans further expansions into Europe with additional routes from the U.S. to Venice and Naples in Italy and a second daily flight to Rome. There are also plans for more daily flights from Dallas-Fort Worth and Miami International airports to London Heathrow Airport.

However, some long-haul services may face temporary cuts due to delays in Boeing 787 aircraft deliveries. This includes affected routes such as Miami International Airport to Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport in May and a postponed resumption of service between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Paris.
