Delta Air Lines has introduced Shake Shack's well-known burgers as a first-class meal option on flights over 900 miles departing from Boston Logan International Airport. This partnership, described by Delta as a "first-of-its-kind" collaboration, aims to provide passengers with a familiar and popular food choice while flying.

David Slotnick, known for his focus on in-flight meals, took the opportunity to try this new offering. He noted that the burger is available only if ordered in advance through the Delta app, a detail he discovered while checking his reservation. The meal includes a burger served on a ceramic plate with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, and Shack Sauce on the side. It comes with potato chips and a Caesar salad instead of fries.

Slotnick reported that the burger tasted remarkably similar to those served at Shake Shack locations across the country. The bun was lightly toasted and fluffy, while the patty retained its signature taste and texture despite being prepared for flight conditions. Keeping toppings separate helped maintain their freshness and allowed passengers to customize their burgers.

This new menu item reflects a shift in first-class offerings toward more casual dining experiences rather than traditional fine dining. For fans of Shake Shack or burgers in general, this development may be welcome news.
