SWISS Airlines confirmed that flight LX1885, traveling from Bucharest to Zurich, was forced to make an emergency landing in Graz. The decision was made by the cockpit crew due to engine issues and smoke detected in both the cabin and cockpit.

The aircraft, carrying 74 passengers and five crew members, landed safely with all passengers evacuated. Twelve passengers received medical attention, while one cabin crew member was airlifted to a hospital in Graz with their condition currently unknown. The remaining four crew members are also receiving medical care.

In response, SWISS has organized two special flights. The first flight is set to depart tonight with a delegation including a care team for passengers and crew, technicians, and support for local authorities. A second flight, LX7385, will transport willing passengers back to Zurich on December 24 at 09:45 from Graz.
