Some of the most popular business jets are among the ultra-long-range business jets in 2024. These aircraft can carry up to 19 passengers across continents for up to 15 hours without needing to refuel.

The Bombardier Global 7500 tops the list with an operational range of 7,700 nautical miles (NM). It is a large business jet designed by Canadian manufacturer Bombardier Aerospace. Since its first flight in November 2016 and subsequent certification in November 2018, over 200 units have been delivered. The aircraft is powered by two General Electric Passport turbofan engines, offering reduced emissions and improved fuel efficiency. Bombardier Aerospace states, “Your world is always within reach on our Global 7500 featuring a baseline range of 7,700 NM with an upgrade for flights of up to 8,000 NM and an ultra-high-speed range of 4,200 NM at Mach 0.92.”

Next is the Gulfstream G700 with a range of 7,500 NM. Introduced in October 2019 and approved by the FAA in March 2024, more than fifty G700s have been delivered since then. Powered by Rolls-Royce Pearl engines, it features a spacious cabin that can be customized into five living areas. Gulfstream Aerospace notes that “Life is lived in the moments between the milestones. Maximize every minute with business aviation’s most spacious and flexible interior.”

The Gulfstream G650ER also offers a range of 7,500 NM and was announced in May 2014. Its extended range comes from increased fuel capacity. The aircraft holds multiple records for non-stop flights and is powered by Rolls-Royce BR725 engines. According to Gulfstream Aerospace, “With more than 500 aircraft in service and 125-plus world speed records, the G650 and G650ER are among the most trusted business jets in the world.”

The Gulfstream G550 has an operational range of 6,750 NM and was developed from the Gulfstream V series. Although production ended in 2021 after delivering over six hundred units, it remains popular among various operators due to its versatility.

Lastly, Dassault Falcon's entry is represented by the Falcon 8X with a range of 6,450 NM. Announced during an exhibition in May 2014, it boasts enhanced fuel efficiency due to its improved wing design and upgraded Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307D engines. Dassault Aviation claims that “The Falcon 8X has a range of 6,450 nm (11,945 km), which means it is capable of nonstop flights between Beijing and New York or Singapore and London.”

These jets represent significant advancements in aviation technology aimed at providing long-range travel capabilities combined with luxury.
