Chris Nelson is undertaking the SAS EuroBonus million-mile challenge, which involves 25 days of travel on 18 flights across 15 countries using 15 different SkyTeam airlines. His journey aims to accumulate one million SAS EuroBonus miles.

The second part of his trip took him from Bali to Vietnam. After spending several days in Bali, Nelson flew with Garuda Indonesia from Ngurah Rai International Airport to Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Despite being surprised by a closed airport upon arrival, he praised the Blue Sky Lounge for its amenities and was impressed by the service on his flight, noting the quality of the meal served in economy class.

Upon arriving in Jakarta, Nelson spent time at Grand Indonesia mall before facing visa issues for his next destination, Vietnam. Due to an error in processing his visa, he had to pay $370 for an expedited emergency visa on arrival. Once resolved, he continued with Vietnam Airlines to Ho Chi Minh City.

In Vietnam, Nelson explored Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi over five days. He stayed at Le Meridien Saigon and Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi and enjoyed local Vietnamese cuisine such as pho and banh mi sandwiches. In Hanoi, he visited notable sites like Train Street and appreciated the affordability of transportation and meals during his stay.

Nelson looks forward to returning to Vietnam to explore more areas like Ha Giang Loop and Da Nang beaches. He highlighted the cost-effectiveness of traveling in Vietnam while earning points with his Chase Sapphire Preferred Card.

As Nelson prepares for the second half of his journey with 12 flights over ten days, he remains optimistic about exploring new destinations including Taiwan, China, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia.
