The Boeing 747, an iconic aircraft that has captured the attention of aviation enthusiasts and passengers since its introduction in 1970 with Pan Am, continues to operate on select routes worldwide in 2025. Although the number of these jumbo jets has dwindled over the years, several airlines still employ them for both domestic and international flights.

Air China operates nine Boeing 747s, consisting of two 747-400s and seven 747-8s, based at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK). "All but one of Air China's Boeing 747 routes in 2025 are domestic services," including destinations such as Guangzhou (CAN), Shanghai (SHA), and Shenzhen (SZX). The airline's only international route for the aircraft is a four-weekly service between Beijing and New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

Korean Air maintains a fleet of eight Boeing 747-8s from Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN). The airline plans to conduct "1,643 flights across four different routes" through November 2025. From April onwards, it will focus solely on twice-daily flights between Seoul and Los Angeles.

Lufthansa remains the largest operator of the Boeing 747 with a total of "10,987 flights scheduled" throughout the year using its fleet of eight 747-400s and nineteen 747-8s. All operations are centered around Frankfurt Airport (FRA) with numerous international destinations.

Aeroflot plans to execute "755 flights with the Boeing 747" through November next year. These services are managed by Rossiya Airlines, Aeroflot's subsidiary, using nine Boeing 747-400s on domestic routes from Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO).

These carriers represent some of the last bastions for commercial passenger operations involving this legendary aircraft model.
