British Airways is set to increase its flight frequency between London Heathrow Airport and Nashville International Airport next summer. The airline will operate up to 10 weekly flights during peak periods, from August 6th to September 10th. This adjustment adds an extra frequency on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

The additional flights will be serviced by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, while the regular daily service will continue using the Boeing 777-200ER fleet. The schedule for the extra flights includes BA221 departing London at 09:25 and arriving in Nashville at 12:40, with BA220 returning from Nashville at 16:25 and landing in London at 06:40. The daily service features BA223 leaving London at 16:00 and reaching Nashville at 19:15, with BA222 departing Nashville at 21:25 and arriving in London at 11:40.

British Airways currently faces no direct competition on this route. However, Icelandair plans to launch a new four-times-weekly service from Reykjavík to Nashville starting April 10th. Aer Lingus also intends to begin a new service from Dublin to Nashville in April, utilizing its Airbus A321XLR aircraft.

The expansion of services to Nashville is part of broader changes British Airways has made to its US network for the upcoming summer season. Notable adjustments include replacing aircraft types on several routes and altering flight frequencies. For instance, the Heathrow-Austin route will see an increase to 13 weekly flights beginning March 31st.

Overall, British Airways operates flights to 25 destinations across the United States. According to Cirium data, the airline plans a peak of 1,479 monthly departures next summer, providing over 415,000 seats each way. The busiest route remains London Heathrow-New York JFK with eight daily flights.
