Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced the commencement of regular short-haul Airbus A350 flights to Kuwait and Bahrain starting next Wednesday, January 8th. The decision comes after successful test flights to these destinations. The airline had previously received its first Airbus A350 in late November and showcased it at Dubai International Airport.

Emirates' CEO Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum leads the company, which was founded in 1985 and operates as a full-service carrier with its hub at Dubai International Airport. The airline plans to operate the following schedule for its new short-haul routes:

- Flight EK853 will depart from Dubai International (DXB) at 01:25 and arrive at Kuwait International (KWI) at 02:15.

- Flight EK854 will leave Kuwait International (KWI) at 03:40, arriving back in Dubai (DXB) by 06:25.

- Flight EK837 is scheduled to take off from Dubai (DXB) at 08:20, reaching Bahrain International (BAH) by 08:40.

- Return flight EK838 will depart Bahrain (BAH) at 10:00 and land in Dubai (DXB) by 12:15.

- Another set of flights includes EK839 leaving Dubai (DXB) at 16:00 for Bahrain (BAH), arriving there by 16:20, with return flight EK840 departing Bahrain (BAH) at 17:45 and reaching Dubai (DXB) by 20:00.

Alongside these Airbus A350 flights, Emirates has scheduled three Boeing 777 rotations to Kuwait on January 8th and one Boeing rotation to Bahrain.

Emirates currently operates one Airbus A350 aircraft but anticipates the delivery of additional units soon. Fleet data suggests that two more A350s are due for delivery shortly. This expansion aligns with Emirates' plan to launch daily long-haul flights from Dubai to Edinburgh starting Friday.

The new Airbus A350 features a three-cabin layout offering business class, premium economy, and economy seating. Passengers can enjoy electronic window shades throughout the cabin and a responsive new 4K IFE system. Premium economy passengers will benefit from fewer seats per row compared to Boeing's configuration.
