Delta Air Lines continues to rely on its Boeing 757 fleet for international routes, especially across Latin America and the Caribbean. The Atlanta-based airline operates 123 units of this aircraft model, comprising 107 -200s with an average age of 28 years and 16 -300s averaging 22 years. Despite retiring some units, Delta has invested in upgrading the cabins of its remaining Boeing 757s.

"The modern new design will bring substantial improvements to the airline’s aircraft interiors. From fresh seating materials, enhanced lighting and a renewed color palette, to new decorative motifs and signature branding, every aspect of the cabin interior has been carefully planned and thoughtfully redesigned to elevate the travel experience," Delta stated.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport serves as a hub for most international flights using the Boeing 757. In January alone, Delta scheduled 65 flights from Atlanta to San Jose, Costa Rica. Other frequent destinations include Bogotá, Colombia; Liberia, Costa Rica; Guatemala City; Sint Maarten; Punta Cana; Puerto Vallarta; Quito; El Salvador; Montego Bay; Saint Lucia; and Cancun.

New York's JFK airport sees an equal number of flights (31 each) to Mexico City and Sint Maarten using the Boeing 757. Similarly, Los Angeles International Airport offers flights primarily to Mexico City among other Latin American locations.

From Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, Delta's Boeing 757s have nine departures each for Aruba and Sint Maarten.

Despite many airlines phasing out their Boeing 757 fleets—such as Jet2 which is set to retire its last unit this week—Delta maintains its commitment to this aircraft model through ongoing refurbishments. The oldest aircraft in Delta's fleet dates back to July 1989 but remains integral for key routes throughout the year.
