The Piper M-Class aircraft line, launched on April 13, 2015, includes three models derived from the PA-46 Malibu: the M600, Meridian M500, and M350. These aircraft offer enhanced performance and safety features while catering to different market segments for business and private travel.

"These new aircraft each encompass the most advanced safety and connectivity technology available today in an ambitious, aesthetic package," stated Simon Caldecott, former Piper President and CEO.

In 2024, Piper Aircraft is producing the M350, M500, and the newly certified M700 Fury. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified the M700 in February for unpaved field operations. In December, the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority also certified it. Piper Aircraft is currently seeking multiple international validations for these new models to improve their versatility.

Piper's low-wing aircraft design offers several advantages such as improved stability during taxiing due to shorter main gear and better overhead views. However, they can pose challenges like obstructed ground views for pilots.

All models of the M-Class can accommodate up to six people including the pilot. They feature a sophisticated interior with custom materials and personalized options.

The avionics suite of these aircraft includes advanced systems like Garmin G3000 in the M700 Fury which integrates with PlaneSync technology allowing remote monitoring of aircraft status via an encrypted connection.

Each model provides distinct performance capabilities suited to various aviation needs. The M350 reaches a max cruise speed of 213 knots powered by a Lycoming TIO-540-AE2A engine while offering a range of 1,343 nautical miles. The M500 boasts a higher max cruise speed of 260 knots using a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-42A engine with a range of 1,250 nautical miles. Leading this lineup is the M700 Fury featuring a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-52 engine reaching speeds up to 301 knots over distances up to 1,852 nautical miles.

Founded in 1937 by William T. Piper after acquiring shares from Gilbert Taylor's company, Piper Aircraft has been at the forefront of general aviation innovation with products like the iconic Piper Cub. Based in Vero Beach, Florida, Piper continues its legacy by providing reliable single- and twin-engine aircraft globally through its vibrant community of owners.
