Ethiopian Airlines has inaugurated a new passenger terminal at the Wako Gutu Airport in Bale Robe. The project is part of the airline's efforts to enhance travel experiences and improve airport facilities across its domestic network.

The Bale region is known for its tourist attractions, including the Sof Omar cave, one of the largest underground caverns globally. The new terminal is expected to boost tourism by enhancing accessibility to such sites.
