Ethiopian Airlines has inaugurated a new passenger terminal at the Wako Gutu Airport in Bale Robe. The project is part of the airline's efforts to enhance travel experiences and improve airport facilities across its domestic network.

Mr. Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, expressed his satisfaction with the project's completion: "We are delighted to announce the completion of this terminal project, which brings an enhanced travel experience to our passengers flying to and from this destination. Our commitment to improving the airport experience across our domestic network drives us to invest in upgrades and renovations like this. We take great pride in delivering this state-of-the-art facility and look forward to offering our passengers an elevated level of comfort and convenience."

The Bale region is known for its tourist attractions, including the Sof Omar cave, one of the largest underground caverns globally. The new terminal is expected to boost tourism by enhancing accessibility to such sites.

Ethiopian Airlines operates flights to over 22 destinations within Ethiopia, including up to 14 weekly flights from Robe Wako Gutu Airport. This development follows recent inaugurations and renovations at other airports, highlighting Ethiopian Airlines' focus on regional connectivity.
