The Cathay Group has announced a significant achievement, carrying over 100,000 passengers in a single day. This milestone was reached on December 15, 2024, when Cathay Pacific and HK Express together transported a total of 100,856 passengers. This marks the highest number of passengers carried by the group in one day since it began its rebuilding efforts.

During the year-end travel peak ending December 31, 2024, the group surpassed this passenger mark on eight separate days. Ronald Lam, Chief Executive Officer of Cathay Group, expressed his satisfaction with the progress made: “We are thrilled to have concluded the year 2024 on a high note with yet another milestone. The past year saw unprecedented progress and expansion for the Cathay Group, thanks to our people’s dedication and efforts."

Lam also extended gratitude to their global frontline teams for ensuring smooth journeys for customers during the holiday season. He added that they have successfully completed their two-year rebuilding journey and are now focused on adding more flights and destinations.
