Delta Air Lines commenced its 100th year with a notable keynote at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The event, led by CEO Ed Bastian, showcased the airline's future plans centered on innovation and partnerships.

The presentation featured appearances by Viola Davis, Tom Brady, and Lenny Kravitz. Delta highlighted its focus on enhancing passenger experience through technology like AI and sustainable innovations.

"New marvels like AI, the digital revolution and sustainable technology are giving us incredible tools to transform the travel experience," said Bastian. He emphasized that innovation aims to "lift people up."

Delta introduced Delta Concierge, an AI-powered tool integrated into the Fly Delta app designed to personalize travel experiences. This year it will notify passengers about visa requirements or passport expirations. Future updates aim to provide destination-specific information such as weather updates.

The airline announced collaborations with Uber and YouTube. Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi revealed that SkyMiles members could earn miles through Uber services. "50% of Uber bookings either begin or end at an airport," Khosrowshahi noted.

YouTube's Chief Business Officer Mary Ellen Coe discussed their partnership: "Any screen, anywhere, and now, even when you’re in the air." The collaboration allows ad-free access to YouTube content for SkyMiles members on equipped flights.

Tom Brady joined Bastian to announce a new travel show titled Well Traveled set for release later this year on Delta flights.

Delta also aims to further its relationship with Airbus through sustainable initiatives like folding wing performance and making sustainable aviation fuel more accessible.

“It’s estimated that 80 percent or more of the world’s population has never experienced air travel,” Bastian stated. “Increasing the world’s access to travel isn’t just an opportunity – it's our responsibility.”

The keynote concluded with a performance by Lenny Kravitz. Additional announcements related to Delta's centennial celebrations are anticipated soon.
