In late November of last year, reports emerged that Jeff Bezos was looking to sell one of his Gulfstream G650ER jets. The aircraft, known for its ultra-long-range capabilities, is part of a small fleet owned by Bezos, the founder of Amazon. This move follows recent changes in his private jet collection.
The Gulfstream G650ER in question was first built in 2015 and is registered as N271DV. It was listed for sale on an aircraft sales website called Controller with a price tag just under $39 million. In comparison, new models typically sell for between $60 million and $65 million. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) database lists Poplar Glen LLC, a holding company owned by Bezos, as the owner.
This sale comes after Bezos acquired a new Gulfstream G700 earlier this year. The G700, registered as N11AF, was delivered to him in July after being transported from Savannah Hilton Head International Airport to Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport via Charleston International Airport. The G700 boasts impressive specifications including a maximum speed of Mach 0.935 and a range of 7,750 nautical miles.
