FedEx Express, a leading express transportation company, has been awarded the Silver Award in the 2024 Taipei City Workplace Gender Equality Certification program. This accolade highlights FedEx's commitment to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment through comprehensive diversity strategies. Notably, FedEx was the only logistics and transportation company to be nominated and awarded in this program.

FedEx promotes a diverse workplace by fostering an environment of empathy and understanding. The company celebrates events like International Women’s Day and International Men’s Day with activities such as tea gatherings, workshops, and contests to challenge gender stereotypes. It also participates in LGBTQ+ events like the Taiwan Pride Parade, where employees wear FedEx PRIDE rainbow T-shirts. Since 2022, FedEx has introduced gender-neutral and women-only restrooms to cater to diverse gender needs. Furthermore, "Workplace Comfort Kits" are provided to employees.

The company's commitment extends beyond inclusivity. FedEx offers flexible work arrangements under its “Fit for Purpose Work Policy,” supporting employees during personal or family emergencies. Partnerships with external organizations provide legal, family, and mental health counseling services. New parents receive a “Newborn Care Package.” Additionally, FedEx offers 30 days of fully paid sick leave and a comprehensive insurance plan covering employees and their families.

Michael Chu, Managing Director of Operations at FedEx Express Taiwan, stated: “At FedEx, we firmly believe that engaged employees drive exceptional service. Diversity, equality, inclusion, and opportunity are core values central to our business.” He emphasized their ongoing commitment to advancing diversity and gender equality.

This is the second time since 2022 that FedEx has received the Silver Award from Taipei City's Workplace Gender Equality Certification program. The company has also been recognized with several other awards including HR Asia's "Best Companies to Work for in Asia" Award.
