American Cruise Lines is set to offer a unique experience for national park enthusiasts with its upcoming Alaska cruise itineraries. Starting in May, the cruise line will provide passengers the rare opportunity to spend an overnight stay in Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The 170-passenger vessel, American Constitution, will be joining its sister ship, American Constellation, in Alaska this year. This addition will effectively double the cruise line's capacity in the region. The company plans to offer five distinct cruise and cruisetour itineraries over 25 sail dates, all featuring an overnight at Glacier Bay. This arrangement allows visitors more time to explore the area's glaciers, wildlife habitats, and cultural aspects of the Huna Tlingit people.

The cruise line's offerings include two national park cruisetours that combine land-based travel with an Alaskan cruise to visit three national parks over several weeks. American Constitution will also feature sailings around Puget Sound and San Juan Islands during spring and fall.

Alaska cruises aboard the American Constitution are scheduled from May 2025 onwards. Some of the highlighted itineraries include:

- An eight-night Southeast Alaska cruise departing round-trip from Juneau with stops at Glacier Bay National Park, Tracy Arm, Sawyer Glacier, and Wrangell Narrows.

- An 11-night Alaskan Explorer journey also round-trip from Juneau visiting Glacier Bay National Park, Sitka, Petersburg along with sailing through Inside Passage and Frederick Sound.

- A 15-night Alaska Inside Passage route between Seattle and Juneau (or vice versa), showcasing locations like Frederick Sound and Queen Charlotte Strait.

In addition to these cruises, there are two comprehensive national park-focused itineraries:

- A 15-night combination of a seven-night overland trip starting in Fairbanks covering Denali National Park and Kenai Fjords National Park followed by an eight-night cruise from Juneau.

- An 18-night Grand Alaska itinerary extending with an additional 11-night cruise round-trip from Juneau after a similar weeklong land tour.

Prices for these voyages start at $6,125 per person for Southeast Alaska trips and go up to $16,975 for the Grand Alaska National Parks cruise. These rates are based on double occupancy including taxes and fees but subject to availability.

American Cruise Lines operates one of the largest fleets of riverboats and small ships within U.S. waters across various states.
