Delta Air Lines is preparing for a significant year at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, with plans to increase its weekly seat offerings despite operating fewer flights than in 2019. The airline will celebrate its 100th anniversary in March, joining a select group of airlines that have reached this milestone.

In 2025, Delta Air Lines will operate an average of 6,391 weekly flights from Atlanta, offering over 1.025 million seats and achieving more than 1.6 billion available seat kilometers (ASKs). This marks an increase from the average of 967,745 weekly seats and over 1.46 billion ASKs recorded in 2019.

The busiest month for Delta will be July, with an average of 966.4 daily departures from Atlanta. In contrast, during the same period in 2019, the airline averaged over 1,000 daily departures.

Delta is also introducing innovations to enhance passenger experience. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Delta unveiled 'Delta Concierge,' a generative AI tool integrated into its Fly Delta app to provide personalized assistance to travelers. "The AI assistant will work on behalf of the customer to better understand arrival and departure needs and create efficiencies that save time and stress."

Additionally, Delta has partnered with Uber and YouTube to offer new benefits such as earning SkyMiles on eligible rides and ad-free content on seatback screens through YouTube's premium options.

The airline is set to upgrade its Delta Sync service starting with new aircraft deliveries in 2026. This includes adding advanced displays and features like Bluetooth capabilities and a 'Do Not Disturb' mode.

Beyond passenger experience improvements, Delta Air Lines announced an expanded partnership with Airbus focusing on sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and future aircraft technologies. A flight test involving formation flying techniques is planned for later in the year.

Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Air Lines, expressed optimism about the upcoming year: "Our executives were very sound in their thinking that 2025 would be the best year in the airline’s history."
