In December 2024, the Junior Achievement Americas recognized ACHEI from Porto Alegre, Brazil, as the "Company of the Year" during its 16th annual competition. The event, sponsored by Federal Express Corporation, acknowledged MYTHICS from Ecuador and MUCI-CAO from Peru as second and third place winners respectively.

ACHEI's team of 34 young entrepreneurs developed a smart locator that connects a Bluetooth tag to an app, helping users track everyday objects. The company will compete for the Ralph De La Vega Award alongside top youth enterprises from various regions in a virtual event scheduled for March 2025.

Gabriel Kayser, Director of Marketing and Customer Experience at FedEx in Brazil, stated: “Acreditamos fortemente no potencial das micro e pequenas empresas e trabalhamos para ajudá-las a se desenvolver.” He emphasized FedEx's commitment to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through initiatives like this award.

Nicolle Neuhaus from ACHEI remarked on their victory: “Para a conquista deste prêmio, estiveram envolvidas trinta e quatro pessoas dedicando suas vidas a este projeto...” She highlighted the dedication of her team in achieving this recognition.

The Junior Achievement program involves over 42,000 youths annually across 16 countries in the Americas who learn business operations firsthand. Alexandre Mutran of Junior Achievement Brasil commented on ACHEI’s achievement: “Reconhecer a ACHEI como ‘Empresa do Ano’ tem um significado poderoso para seus idealizadores...”

During the competition, FedEx also announced Conexa from Uruguay as the young company with significant global expansion potential and awarded it the FedEx Global Possibilities Award.

The next edition of "Company of the Year" is set for November 2025 in Rio de Janeiro.
