Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, commonly known as Azul, operates the Airbus A330-900, a variant of the European planemaker's A330neo series. Currently, Azul has seven of these aircraft in its fleet with an average age of 5.3 years and another seven on order.

The A330-900 aircraft are equipped with 298 seats in a two-class configuration: 34 business class flatbeds arranged in a 1-2-1 setup and 264 economy class seats arranged in a 2-4-2 layout. The routes operated by these aircraft have been analyzed using data from January 2025 provided by Cirium, an aviation analytics company.

Azul's most frequent route for the A330-900 is between São Paulo Viracopos/Campinas Airport (VCP) and Paris Orly (ORY) with 18 outbound and 17 inbound flights scheduled. Azul holds a monopoly on this specific route, though Air France and LATAM Brasil offer alternative services between Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and São Paulo/Guarulhos Governor André Franco Montoro International (GRU).

The second busiest route is between São Paulo Viracopos/Campinas and Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), featuring 15 outbound and 16 inbound flights. Despite having a monopoly on this exact route, competition exists with LATAM Airlines Brasil and TAP Air Portugal offering services from São Paulo Guarulhos to Lisbon.

Other notable routes include flights to Orlando International Airport (MCO) from both São Paulo Viracopos/Campinas and Recife Guararapes Gilberto Freyre International (REC). The latter route uses higher-density configurations of the A330-900 with 377 seats to accommodate high-demand travel.

Additional routes include services from São Paulo Viracopos/Campinas to Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International (FLL), Belo Horizonte Confins Tancredo Neves International (CNF) to Orlando International, Belo Horizonte to Fort Lauderdale, and domestic flights within Brazil such as those between São Paulo Viracopos/Campinas and Recife.

A new route will commence in February 2025 between Recife and Fort Lauderdale, featuring four flights each way. While these will initially use the A330neo model for eight round trips over two months, the rest of the year's schedule will see Azul utilizing the older Airbus A330-200 model more frequently on this corridor.
