Embraer, a prominent aircraft manufacturer based in Brazil, is recognized for its contributions to both commercial and private aviation sectors. The company began producing aircraft in the 1970s and entered the private jet market in 2000 with the Legacy 600.

The Phenom 300 leads Embraer's business jet lineup with over 780 units produced. It has been the best-selling light jet globally for twelve consecutive years. "In 2023, the aircraft also became the most used private jet in the United States," surpassing the Cessna Citation Excel.

The Phenom 100 follows with 410 units produced. This very light jet was introduced in 2005 and remains popular due to its compact size and cost efficiency. Variants like the Phenom 100E, EV, and EX have brought improvements over time.

Embraer's move into larger jets began with the Legacy series. The Legacy 600 marked this transition, resulting in 289 units produced up to 2020. It is derived from Embraer's ERJ-135 commercial model. "The Legacy 650 variant was announced in 2009," offering extended range capabilities.

The mid-sized segment includes models like the Legacy 500 and Legacy 450, introduced at an NBAA convention in August of 2007. These models feature flat floor cabins and fly-by-wire controls. Over time, they were rebranded as Praetor models.

Lastly, Embraer's ultra-large Lineage series includes only a limited number of jets—28 units—produced by leveraging their regional jet expertise into luxury offerings.

Embraer continues to focus on enhancing its smaller and mid-size business jets while having ended production of some larger models.
