Tauck, a luxury tour operator known for its Europe river cruises, has announced changes that will benefit solo travelers in 2025. The company will waive the single supplement fee on Category 1 cabins across all Europe river cruises next year. This move could save solo travelers up to $1,000 on their cruise fare. Additionally, Tauck is reducing the single supplement by $1,000 on other cabin categories, specifically categories 4 and 5, for 52 departures.

Category 1 cabins are the smallest available on Tauck's ships, measuring 150 square feet. These rooms feature a large fixed window instead of a balcony and have two European twin beds that can be combined into one larger bed. The waived single supplement applies to more than 250 river cruise departures in 2025, including popular Christmas market itineraries.

Tauck's river cruises are all-inclusive. The cruise fare covers gratuities, shore excursions, complimentary beverages such as specialty coffee and premium spirits, and transfers. Each sailing includes Tauck Exclusives, which provide unique access to landmarks and cultural experiences like dining in a historic German castle.

Some of the itineraries available without a single supplement fee include:

- A seven-night Romantic Rhine cruise from Amsterdam to Basel with tours of Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum and Germany's Heidelberg Castle. Fares start at $6,390 for solo travelers.

- A seven-night Impressions from the Seine voyage from Paris to Normandy featuring visits to Chateau de Versailles and Monet's home in Giverny. Fares begin at $5,190.

- A seven-night Seine: Holiday Magic sailing showcasing Christmas markets in Paris and Normandy with fares starting at $4,890.

In addition to these savings on river cruises, Tauck is offering discounts on select land journeys across five continents. Travelers can receive up to $600 off the single supplement on tours to destinations including Hawaii, Mexico, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Australia, and New Zealand. This offer is available for 39 tours with a total of 84 departures.

Solo travelers interested in taking advantage of these offers should act quickly as Category 1 cabins are limited and often sell out.
