台北,2025年1月15日—聯邦快遞與荒野保護協會再度合作,進行了一次關注水資源的環保活動。這次活動選在新竹頭前溪,吸引了聯邦快遞的員工及其家屬參加。他們花費數小時清理出近181公斤的廢棄物,展示了公司對環境保護的承諾。

頭前溪是大新竹地區的重要水資源,供應超過九成的當地用水,是支持地方農業和日常生活的重要因素。聯邦快遞選擇此地進行淨溪活動,不僅是為了環境永續,也表達了對高科技產業發展的支持。

聯邦快遞台灣區總經理朱興榮表示:「聯邦快遞一直致力於推動永續發展,透過實際行動減少碳足跡並大力支持我們在地社區的環境保育。頭前溪是新竹地區的重要生命線,我們很榮幸能與荒野保護協會再度攜手合作,透過這次淨溪活動,讓更多人了解河川環境保護的重要性。本次淨溪活動展現我們對自然環境的承諾,以及積極實踐企業社會責任的決心,我們將持續為台灣的生態環境盡一份心力,與地方社區共同成長,以行動實現更具永續性的未來。」

荒野保護協會榮譽理事長劉月梅指出:「維持乾淨的河,才能有湛藍的海!很高興能與聯邦快遞合作,持續關注台灣的溪流清潔及水資源議題。根據這兩次的淨溪成果統計,最多的廢棄物分別是塑膠瓶罐、塑膠袋、免洗餐具,凸顯從源頭減少塑膠使用的重要性,同時提醒我們應減少一次性用品的使用,攜手實現永續環境的目標。此外,也有許多大型廢棄物在溪流出現,人類不該把垃圾或廢水往溪流傾倒, 才能有乾淨的溪。荒野保護協會期待未來有更多企業、團體或民眾如聯邦快遞一樣, 加入守護土地、河川與海洋的一列,一同實現乾淨美麗且永續未來。」

除了此次活動外,在2024年12月14日和12月28日也舉辦了兩場淨溪活動。聯邦快遞還舉辦了名為「要有湛藍的海先有乾淨的溪」 的環境教育講座,提高團隊成員對自然生態保育重要性的認識。通過親身參與和教育講座,他們開始將可持續概念融入到日常生活中,如減少使用一次性塑料製品等。
