Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has announced enhancements to its international shipping services from Shandong Province, China, to Japan. The improvements are aimed at reducing the transit time for outbound shipments by one day for cities such as Qingdao, Weifang, Yantai, Weihai, Jinan, and Zibo. This change applies to FedEx's range of international shipping services including FedEx International Priority and FedEx International Economy.

FedEx has been working on optimizing its network in Shandong over recent years to improve connectivity between China's second- and third-tier cities and global markets. In May 2024, FedEx launched its first international cargo flights from Qingdao to Memphis with a stopover in Osaka. By November 2024, the frequency of these flights increased to five per week, enhancing transit times for shipments from Qingdao and Shandong Province to North America. Additionally, the FedEx Qingdao international gateway began operations with a facility equipped with an automated sorting system.

For more information about FedEx's services, customers can visit the company's shipping services website.
