FedEx has announced an upgrade to its international express delivery services from certain areas in Shandong to Japan. Effective immediately, packages exported from Qingdao, Weifang, Yantai, Weihai, Jinan, and Zibo via same-day export service will now reach Japan one day faster than before. This enhancement applies to all FedEx international express services including FedEx International Priority Express Service, FedEx International Economy Express Service, FedEx International Priority Freight Service, and FedEx International Air Freight Service.

In recent years, FedEx has continuously optimized its logistics network layout in Shandong to enhance connectivity between China's second- and third-tier cities and the global market. In May 2024, FedEx launched a new international cargo route from Qingdao in China to Memphis in Tennessee via Osaka in Japan. By November of the same year, this route was increased to five flights per week. This improvement significantly enhanced the efficiency of exports from Qingdao and the Shandong region to North America.

Additionally, the FedEx Qingdao International Gateway Operation Center became operational. The facility spans approximately 2,000 square meters and is equipped with a fully automated sorting system. It provides customers in Shandong with efficient logistics and customs clearance experiences.
