Ethiopian Airlines has received the IATA CEIV Pharma recertification, a standard recognized globally for the safe and efficient handling of pharmaceutical products. The airline was the first in Africa to achieve this accreditation in 2022 and continues to maintain high standards of operational excellence with this recertification. The certification reaffirms Ethiopian Airlines' commitment to modernizing cold chain infrastructure, specialized training, and innovative technologies for pharmaceutical logistics needs. It provides a globally acknowledged stamp of quality that reassures customers, partners, and regulators of consistent operations aligned with international standards.
Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics Services operates as Africa's largest cargo network operator. The fleet includes 10 Boeing 777-200F, 3 Boeing 767-300F, and 4 Boeing 737-800F dedicated freighters alongside over 150 passenger aircraft. The airline serves more than 70 dedicated cargo destinations and over 140 passenger destinations across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the Americas with an average daily uplift exceeding 2000 tons.
