Disney is set to expand access to its Lightning Lane Premier Pass, allowing all visitors at Disney World the opportunity to purchase this skip-the-line service starting tomorrow. The pass offers guests one-time access to every Lightning Lane ride in the park without the need for advance booking of specific ride times.

Despite its high cost, ranging from $129 to $449 per day depending on the date and park, the Premier Pass has seen significant demand. Initially available only to guests staying at Deluxe Disney World hotels and villas, it was later extended to all on-site hotel guests in November. At Disneyland in California, any guest can purchase a Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Starting January 21st, Disney will make the Premier Pass available to all visitors at Disney World. The existing options of the Lightning Lane Single Pass and Multi Pass remain available, providing multiple choices for guests seeking expedited access to rides.

Guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels can purchase passes up to seven days before their visit, while those with date-based tickets but not staying at official resorts can plan up to three days in advance.

The cost of the Premier Pass varies by park: Animal Kingdom Theme Park ranges from $129 to $199 per day; Epcot from $169 to $249; Hollywood Studios from $269 to $349; and Magic Kingdom Park from $329 to $449. At Disneyland Resort, prices range from $300 to $400 per day in 2025.

The new Premier Pass is notably more expensive than other options like the Lightning Lane Multi Pass or similar offerings at other theme parks such as Universal Orlando's Express Pass. However, it remains less costly than Disney's VIP tour option.

Ultimately, whether the new pass is worth its price depends on individual circumstances and budget considerations. While it offers a premium experience for those willing and able to pay more, it may not be a regular choice for most visitors due to its cost.
