The aviation industry is bolstered by a range of training programs designed to equip aspiring pilots and maintenance personnel with the necessary skills. These programs are often run by airlines themselves or in collaboration with educational institutions, ensuring high standards for those entering the field.

Delta Air Lines offers the "Propel Pilot Career Path Program," which provides three paths—Collegiate, Company, and Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)—to becoming a pilot for Delta or its subsidiary, Endeavor Air. Nearly 100 participants have already completed this program. Delta employees can also pursue certification through the Company's path after two years of employment.

United Airlines' "Calibrate" program trains future aircraft maintenance technicians (AMT) and ground technicians through a paid-on-the-job training model across several U.S. locations.
