Delta Air Lines has been recognized as the top U.S. airline by The Wall Street Journal for the fourth year in a row. The ranking evaluates seven key operational and customer metrics across nine major U.S. airlines, with Delta excelling in nearly every category. Notably, Delta achieved first place in on-time arrivals and had the fewest involuntary denied boardings, also known as bumpings. The airline was second in terms of fewest canceled flights.

"This honor is a reflection of our people’s dedication to providing safe, reliable service and delivering a premium experience for our customers," stated John Laughter, Delta's Chief of Operations. "Every flight, every innovation and every memory we create for our customers is thanks to our team of resilient aviation professionals who constantly strive for excellence. An award is never a finish line in this business. We have our sights set even higher in 2025 and beyond."

The accolade from The Wall Street Journal follows another recognition from Cirium for Delta's operational excellence. In 2024, Delta maintained its position as North America's most on-time airline, marking its fourth consecutive year earning this distinction.
