Emirates is marking the Lunar New Year with a series of festive offerings for its customers. From January 28 to February 3, passengers on routes between Dubai and various Asian cities will be treated to special desserts. In First, Business, and Premium Economy Class, a lychee, rose, and raspberry mousse cake will be served. Economy Class passengers can enjoy taro coconut sago with sweetened fruits and red beans. Additionally, traditional red envelopes containing chocolate coins will be distributed on some routes.

The airline's EmiratesRED onboard sale will run from January 28 to February 28. Customers purchasing two or more specially marked items will receive a 10% discount on selected duty-free products. An exclusive inflight discount of US$15 is also available when buying two fragrances.

Emirates' entertainment system 'ice' offers an extensive selection of Mandarin and Cantonese movies for the occasion, along with over 350 Hollywood films featuring Chinese subtitles. The music library includes 115 Chinese albums and 1,000 songs.

In Dubai's Emirates Lounges, festive fare will be offered on January 29. Breakfast in First and Business Class lounges features ‘Cheung Fun’ steamed rice noodle rolls with dried prawn and scallops. Lunch and dinner options include soya glazed beef short ribs in the First Class lounge and poached shrimp dumplings available in both lounges.

The Emirates Lounge in Singapore will offer dishes such as king prawns infused with soya and pan-fried duck with lemon sauce. In Bangkok, options include chicken soup with goji berry notes and assorted dim sum.

Beijing's lounge menu features Kung pao prawns and Eight Treasure rice dessert. Shanghai offers mandarin seabass accented with pineapple cubes while Hong Kong serves scallops with broccoli in osmanthus flower soup.
