Delta Air Lines has announced the resumption of its flights to Tel Aviv, Israel, starting April 1. The airline confirmed this development to Bloomberg and plans to operate daily flights between New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) until June, as indicated by Cirium's Diio Mi airline planning tool.

Before the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, Delta operated 15 weekly flights to Tel Aviv from various U.S. airports including Atlanta, New York-JFK, and Boston Logan. Delta has extended a waiver for customers booked on flights to or from Tel Aviv, allowing rebooking through June 1, 2025.

United Airlines is also considering resuming its flights to Israel. According to Globes, industry sources suggest United could restart services as early as February. However, United's Jetstream site states that flights remain suspended for now. In September 2023, United operated numerous weekly flights from major U.S. airports like Chicago O’Hare and Newark Liberty International Airport to Tel Aviv.

American Airlines' travel exception policy has been updated with impacted travel dates extending until April 29 instead of March 29, 2025. The airline has not flown to Israel since October 6, 2023.

EL AL remains the sole carrier flying from Tel Aviv to the U.S., increasing its market share significantly during the conflict period. EL AL faced pressure from stakeholders leading it to cap ticket prices on certain routes and cancel compensation plans for top executives.

Several non-U.S. airlines have resumed services to Israel or plan future operations soon. British Airways will resume flights on April 5; Lufthansa Group on February 1; Wizz Air restarted service on January 13.

American Airlines issued a statement regarding its plans for Tel Aviv: "American continuously evaluates its network and we have nothing new to share at this time regarding Tel Aviv service."
