Delta Air Lines is set to unveil a new cabin design for its aircraft, marking the first major update in decades. The redesigned cabins will debut on an Airbus A350-900 departing from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This new look will gradually become standard across Delta's fleet.

The updated cabin features include new mood lighting, design elements, and Delta One seat coverings designed for enhanced comfort on long-haul flights. The familiar "enchanted blue" seats have been replaced with dark navy ones accented with red.

Last fall, Delta announced plans to refresh its cabin aesthetic to reflect "fresh, elevated and timeless" qualities that align with customers' evolving preferences. The airline aims to cater more effectively to premium travelers with this darker color scheme.

A unique feature of the revamped cabin is the "celestial sky" pattern on dividers, inspired by Delta's global route map. This design is also present on navy blue dividers within various cabins.

Mood lighting settings can change based on flight times, offering options like "candlelight dinner," sunrise, and sunset. Lavatories are equipped with Delta's signature Grown Alchemist products.

The A350-900 has a premium-heavy configuration featuring 40 Delta One suites spread across two business-class cabins. While these suites retain many existing features, they now include cloth coverings over memory foam for better breathability and comfort during sleep.

Additional touches in the suites include wireless charging, USB-C ports, and large inflight entertainment screens. Red accents appear in storage cubbies and small tags featuring the Delta widget.

In other cabins—Premium Select, Comfort+, and Main Cabin—traditional leather seat coverings remain but adopt the new darker palette. Premium Select recliners have dark leather designs with red striping and widget tags.

Over the next year, more newly delivered Delta aircraft will receive this updated cabin aesthetic. Interior refurbishments are also planned for existing jets like Boeing 757s to improve seat cushions.
