London Heathrow Airport, the busiest airport in the United Kingdom, has reported its highest passenger numbers ever for December 2024, with a total of 83.9 million passengers passing through during the year. The airport is known for serving a wide range of regional, short-haul, and long-haul routes.

According to Cirium, an aviation analytics company, 35,913 flights are scheduled at London Heathrow in February 2025. This includes a diverse mix of airlines operating from the facility.

Delta Air Lines ranks tenth among these airlines with 530 flights scheduled for February. "Delta's top route from London Heathrow this February serves its main hub at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), with 84 flights in each direction," it was noted.

Eurowings occupies ninth place with 656 flights. "Eurowings serves an interesting variety of short-haul routes from London Heathrow Airport," according to reports.

SWISS International Air Lines comes eighth with 680 planned flights. The airline operates primarily between Geneva and Zürich from London Heathrow.

Scandinavian Airlines ranks seventh with 764 flights. It focuses on capital cities like Oslo, Copenhagen, and Stockholm.

United Airlines is sixth on the list with 944 transatlantic flights planned for February. Newark Liberty International Airport is its top destination from London Heathrow.

American Airlines follows closely in fifth place with 974 flights. New York JFK sees the most American Airlines flights from London Heathrow.

Aer Lingus ranks fourth by scheduling exactly 1,000 flights to and from London Heathrow in February. Dublin Airport remains its primary route.

Lufthansa is third with a schedule of 1,140 flights in February. Frankfurt is its most frequented destination from Heathrow.

Virgin Atlantic takes second place among airlines at London Heathrow with 1,664 scheduled flights in February. New York remains its most popular destination followed by Indian routes such as New Delhi and Mumbai.

British Airways leads all carriers at London Heathrow by a significant margin with an impressive total of 18,341 scheduled flights for February alone. "BA's top route from Heathrow this February is the regional corridor to Edinburgh (EDI) in Scotland," was highlighted regarding their operations.

The report underlines how various international airlines continue to play vital roles at one of Europe's leading air travel hubs through their extensive flight schedules across different markets and destinations worldwide.
