The AH-1W was noted as the "first modern attack helicopter with true precision attack capability" by Bell Flight. The AH-64 Apache and AH-1Z Viper from the United States stand out for their historical service record. The Eurocopter Tiger is valued for its versatility, while Russia's Mil Mi-28NM Havoc is known for durability in harsh environments.

Each nation has tailored its attack helicopters to meet specific strategic goals. Boeing emphasizes the Apache’s extensive service: “With more than 1,280 aircraft in operation accumulating over five million flight hours...the AH-64 Apache represents the backbone of the U.S. Army’s attack helicopter fleet."

Russia's Mil series emphasizes ruggedness while Eurocopter Tiger offers modular design flexibility. Turkey's T129 ATAK focuses on agility in challenging terrains.

These helicopters are deployed globally by various armed forces, demonstrating diverse tactical approaches worldwide.
