Singapore Airlines is set to increase its flight frequency between Singapore and Seattle to five times a week starting May 30, 2025. This move is part of the airline's strategy to boost capacity on profitable routes as it continues its post-pandemic recovery.

The route initially launched in September 2019 with three weekly flights using Airbus A350s, but this was increased to five weekly flights by March 2020. The service was suspended due to the pandemic and resumed in December 2021 as part of a combined route including Vancouver. By June 2022, it had become a nonstop Singapore-Seattle flight operating three times weekly, which increased to four times weekly in June 2024.

Singapore Airlines currently operates the route with an Airbus A350-900. On January 25, flight SQ28 departed from Singapore Changi Airport at 10:13 and landed in Seattle after a flight duration of over 14 hours. The aircraft then returned as SQ27 from Seattle Tacoma International Airport back to Singapore.

The airline's fleet includes a total of 159 aircraft, with several models suitable for long-haul routes like the one to Seattle. Among these are 58 Airbus A350-900s and seven Airbus A350-900(ULR)s. Additionally, Singapore Airlines has new aircraft deliveries scheduled, including Boeing and Airbus models that will further expand its capacity.

By increasing its service to Seattle, Singapore Airlines will operate a total of 57 weekly flights between the United States and Singapore starting in May. However, this figure represents a slight decrease from the current schedule due to planned reductions on other routes such as Houston.
