JetBlue has introduced its new premium credit card, the JetBlue Premier World Elite Mastercard, issued by Barclays. The card, with an annual fee of $499, is designed for frequent JetBlue travelers.

The card offers a welcome bonus of 70,000 points and five "tiles" toward Mosaic elite status after spending $5,000 within the first three months. According to The Points Guy's January 2025 valuations, these points are valued at $910.

Additional benefits include a $300 annual statement credit for Paisly purchases, Priority Pass Select membership for one guest, and access to JetBlue lounges at JFK and Boston Logan airports once they open. Cardholders also receive a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck statement credit every four years and can add authorized users for $150 each.

The earning rates include six points per dollar on JetBlue and Paisly purchases, two points per dollar at restaurants and grocery stores, and one point per dollar on other purchases. For those aiming for Mosaic status, spending $50,000 on the card earns one tile per $1,000 spent.

Current or previous holders of the JetBlue Plus Card are not eligible for this welcome bonus but may check their Barclays account for upgrade offers.

While the card presents significant perks for loyal JetBlue customers in New York or Boston, potential applicants might consider waiting until lounge openings later this year to maximize benefits. Semifrequent flyers may find better value in the lower-fee JetBlue Plus Card.
