Lufthansa has announced the extension of its Airbus A380 service from Bangkok to Munich for the upcoming Songkran holiday season. The decision comes in response to increased demand during this key travel period, aiming to provide passengers with a more comfortable flying experience between these two major cities.

The Airbus A380 will be used for additional flights starting in early April 2025, aligning with Thailand's annual Songkran Festival. This cultural event draws millions of travelers both domestically and internationally. Lufthansa's choice to extend its A380 service is intended to offer enhanced capacity and comfort during this busy time.

Felipe Bonifatti, Vice President Asia Pacific & Joint Ventures East, stated, "We are excited to extend our A380 service on the Munich-Bangkok route during the Songkran holiday season. The A380 offers unparalleled comfort and capacity, and we are confident that our passengers will appreciate the extra space and top-tier service as they travel during the busy Thai New Year period."
