De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 | De Havilland Website

On February 2, 2025, an All Nippon Airways (ANA) De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 experienced an incident at Fukushima Airport. The aircraft, arriving from Osaka International Airport, was taxiing to its designated spot when its left wing collided with the aerobridge. This event led to the cancellation of flights and affected approximately 100 passengers.

The flight in question, NH1695, departed from Osaka International Airport at 08:00 and landed at Fukushima Airport after a brief flight of 59 minutes. The plane involved was a turboprop model registered as JA465A, carrying 24 passengers and four crew members.

No injuries were reported due to the mild nature of the impact. However, the aircraft was grounded for the remainder of the day, leading to disruptions in ANA's scheduled operations.

Flightradar24 data indicates that the Dash 8 remained stationary at Fukushima Airport on Sunday. It resumed service on February 3 with a flight from Osaka to Matsuyama Airport.

ANA has been contacted for comments regarding this incident. Further updates will be provided upon receiving their response.

The airline maintains a fleet comprising various aircraft models, including Airbus A320s and Boeing Dreamliners. ANA Wings operates some of these planes under wet-lease agreements. Formed through mergers in 2010, ANA Wings functions as a regional subsidiary headquartered near Osaka.

ANA achieved recognition in December by earning SKYTRAX's 5-star quality service designation for twelve consecutive years. Founded in 1952 with helicopters, ANA has expanded into Japan's largest airline and is a prominent operator of Boeing's Dreamliner series.
