Delta Air Lines has announced significant advancements in its in-flight entertainment and connectivity services, highlighting the expansion of its fast, free Wi-Fi offerings. The airline now provides this service to a majority of its over 200 million annual customers, enabling them to browse, stream, and game during flights. The rollout of Delta Sync Wi-Fi is progressing rapidly on domestic flights and is set to expand internationally.

Julieta McCurry, Vice President of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity at Delta, stated, "Delta is constantly listening to our customers and evolving to meet their needs. We know they want an in-flight experience similar to what they have at home." She added that the company plans to enhance the Delta Sync products with collaborations involving YouTube and DraftKings.

Delta's new partnerships are poised to elevate the passenger experience further. A collaboration with DraftKings aims to offer SkyMiles Members free gaming options through Delta Sync Wi-Fi on personal devices. This initiative will not involve any form of gambling with real money or miles.

Additionally, a partnership with YouTube will allow SkyMiles Members ad-free access to content from creators, podcasts, and music artists while flying. This reflects Delta's commitment to delivering an at-home entertainment experience onboard.

The airline has equipped over 880 aircraft with streaming-speed connectivity via Delta Sync Wi-Fi. It expects international routes' availability by summer 2025 and regional routes later in the year. Furthermore, more than 330 aircraft feature the new Delta Sync seatback system offering personalized trip notifications and recommendations.

In two years since implementing fast, free Wi-Fi, over 3.5 million new SkyMiles Members have joined through accessing this service. These members tend to be younger than the average base member demographic. Millennials and Gen Z now constitute 60% of all users engaging with Delta Sync Wi-Fi.

McCurry emphasized that "SkyMiles Members can expect something fun and unexpected each time they fly with us," underlining Delta's dedication to providing tailored experiences for its passengers.
