Delta Air Lines has implemented new restrictions on access to its Sky Clubs for American Express cardholders, effective February 2025. This change affects holders of The Platinum Card from American Express, The Business Platinum Card from American Express, the Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card, and the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card.

Holders of The Platinum and Business Platinum cards are now limited to 10 visits per year, while those with the Delta SkyMiles Reserve and Reserve Business cards have a limit of 15 visits annually. These visits can be used upon arrival or during connections within 24 hours of first entry into a Sky Club. However, a three-hour wait is required before re-entering if visiting a Grab and Go location at the same airport.

Cardholders who spend $75,000 in a calendar year on their eligible card will enjoy unlimited access to Delta Sky Clubs for the remainder of that year and the following status year until January 31, 2027. Otherwise, additional visits beyond the annual limit cost $50 each.

The access limits reset every February 1st. For those holding multiple eligible cards, visit allowances can be combined. For instance, having both The Platinum Card and the Delta SkyMiles Reserve card provides up to 25 visits per year.

Access to Delta Sky Clubs requires travel on Delta Air Lines flights on the same day. Entry is permitted within three hours before departure or anytime during connections or upon arrival. Basic economy ticket holders are not eligible for club access unless they pay an additional fee of $50 per guest per visit.

American Express provides tools for tracking remaining club visits through its online account portal. By selecting "Rewards & Benefits" under their eligible card account, users can monitor their remaining visits and spending towards unlimited access.

Cardholders considering downgrading or canceling their Amex cards should use up their existing visit allocations beforehand to maximize benefits.
