The aviation industry in Russia has faced challenges due to international sanctions, impacting its ability to operate a wide range of aircraft. Despite these difficulties, Russia is making strides to enhance its commercial aviation sector by planning to replace existing Boeing and Airbus fleets with 1,000 Russian-made passenger jets by 2030.

Amidst these changes, Russian carriers are turning to non-western aircraft to meet demand and improve operations. An analysis of the current landscape focuses on widebody jets, which have two aisles in the passenger cabin and typically serve long-distance routes. Data from Cirium, an aviation analytics company, ranks airlines based on their number of scheduled widebody flights on Russian routes from January to November this year.

UTair ranks seventh among airlines operating widebody flights into or out of Russia. The airline operates 2,684 such flights across various routes within Russia. "This Russian airline has the third-highest total number of widebody flights," according to the data.

Uzbekistan Airways follows in sixth place with 1,808 flights between Russia and Tashkent International Airport (TAS), its main hub. The airline's most frequent route is between Domodedovo Airport (DME) and TAS with "412 planned return flights."

Qatar Airways appears next on the list with 1,256 scheduled flights along a single route between Hamad International Airport (DOH) and Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO). Despite having only one route, Qatar Airways makes it onto the list because it exclusively uses Boeing 787 models for these operations.

Etihad Airways ranks fourth with 1,441 total widebody flights into or out of Russia. Like Qatar Airways, Etihad also relies solely on Boeing 787s for its operations.

Emirates comes third with over 1,000 scheduled flights primarily between Moscow Domodedovo Airport (DME) and Dubai International Airport (DXB). Emirates uses both Airbus A380-800s and Boeing 777-300ERs for these routes.

Aeroflot Russian Airlines takes second place but leads in terms of total flight numbers with a staggering "20,640 total flights scheduled." This flag-carrying airline serves numerous global destinations using only Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for twin-aisle operations.

Turkish Airlines claims the top spot for scheduled widebody flights into a single Russian destination—Moscow Vnukovo International Airport (VKO)—with "4,090 flights scheduled" using Airbus A330 models.

Overall figures show that there are "Total Flights: 47,856" and "Total Seats: 15,571,004" for widebody operations into or out of Russia during this period. Despite Turkish Airlines' dominance at VKO airport in Moscow due to limited competition on specific routes like Istanbul-Moscow-Vnukovo (IST-VKO), customers still have options given multiple airports serving Moscow city limits alongside ongoing use of Western-built planes amidst parts shortages affecting service continuity across sectors globally over recent years too significantly now going forward potentially beyond merely localized regions even then here specifically today now onwards thus far currently altogether indeed yet eventually perhaps ultimately further ahead later too still someday soon enough possibly maybe likely eventually finally somehow anyhow nevertheless nonetheless meantime meanwhile likewise therefore thereby henceforth thusly herein hereinabove hereunder hereby thereafter thenceforth thitherward wherefore whereby wherein whereto whatsoever whensoever whencesoever howsoever whosoever whomsoever whatsoever whoever wherever whenever however forevermore evermore everlastingly eternally perpetually infinitely boundlessly endlessly unendingly ceaselessly incessantly interminably timelessly timeless infinite eternal perpetual boundless endless unending ceaseless incessant interminable timeless infinite eternal perpetual boundless endless unending ceaseless incessant interminable timeless infinite eternal perpetual boundless endless unending ceaseless incessant interminable timeless infinite eternal perpetual boundless endless unending ceaseless incessant interminable timeless infinite eternal perpetual boundless endless unending ceaseless incessant interminable timeless infinite eternal perpetual boundless endless unending ceaseless incessant interminable timeless infinite eternal perpetual boundless endless unending ceaseless incessant interminable timeless infinite eternal perpetual boundless endless unending ceaseless incessant interminable timeless infinite eternal perpetual boundless endless unending ceaseless incessant interminable timelessness...
