서울, 대한민국 - FedEx, a leading global courier company, has announced the expansion of its international e-commerce delivery service, FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP), in South Korea. This expansion aims to support domestic e-commerce businesses by providing a stable and efficient logistics network for accessing global markets.

The newly expanded FICP now includes regions beyond its existing service areas in Asia-Pacific such as Korea, China, Hong Kong, and Japan. It will now cover the United States and Europe as well. This aligns with FedEx's strategy to promote growth in cross-border e-commerce markets from Asia to the US and Europe. The global cross-border e-commerce market is expected to grow significantly from $785 billion in 2021 to $7.938 trillion by 2030.

South Korea is emerging as a key market for cross-border e-commerce due to the global popularity of K-beauty products. According to Statistics Korea, online direct sales abroad totaled KRW 419.1 billion in Q3 2024, with cosmetics, fashion-related products, and K-albums being major items. By expanding FICP services, FedEx plans to offer more effective international shipping solutions for domestic e-commerce companies targeting these customers. Deliveries typically reach the US and Europe within two to three business days.

FICP offers competitively priced on-time delivery with customizable services that provide greater value for businesses. It also provides flexibility through numerous pickup points and options for changing delivery dates and locations without requiring paper documents via automated online and offline solutions. Additionally, tracking features give both e-commerce companies and customers real-time visibility throughout the entire delivery process.

FedEx Korea Managing Director Park Won-bin stated: "The expanded FICP service provides domestic companies with reliable solutions optimized for speed and cost while supporting them in efficiently leading new opportunities in the global market." He added that "FedEx presents a comprehensive portfolio of shipping solutions tailored to meet diverse customer demands," aiming to enhance customer experiences through digital tools integration.

Meanwhile, FedEx offers comprehensive e-commerce solutions that streamline processes from order fulfillment to delivery while ensuring convenience and reliability for customers. FICP delivers high reliability based on FedEx's international on-time delivery service expertise alongside customs clearance proficiency. Additional features include visibility through FedEx Delivery Manager International functionality and Picture Proof of Delivery services that visually confirm deliveries even when recipients are absent.
