For many, managing multiple credit cards with varying bonus categories can be daunting. However, fixed-rate rewards credit cards offer a straightforward solution by providing a consistent rate on all purchases. These cards simplify the process of earning points and miles without the need to track spending categories.

The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is one such option. It offers a welcome bonus of 75,000 miles after spending $4,000 within three months. According to The Points Guy's January 2025 valuations, these miles are valued at 1.85 cents each, making the bonus worth $1,388. The card has an annual fee of $95 and earns five miles per dollar on travel booked through Capital One Travel and two miles per dollar on other purchases.

Redemption options for Capital One miles include travel at one cent per mile, gift cards between 0.8 and one cent per mile, online shopping at 0.8 cents per mile, and cash back at 0.5 cents per mile. For those willing to transfer their miles to airline and hotel partners, the value increases to approximately 1.85 cents each.

Another option is the Chase Freedom Unlimited card which provides an additional 1.5% cash back on up to $20,000 spent in the first year with no annual fee. It offers five percent back on travel via Chase Travel℠, three percent on dining and drugstores, and 1.5% on other purchases.

The Citi Double Cash Card also presents a simple structure with no bonus categories to track—offering one percent back when making a purchase and another one percent when paying it off.

For business users, The Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express offers a welcome bonus of 15,000 points after spending $3,000 in three months with no annual fee (see rates and fees). It earns two Membership Rewards points per dollar on up to $50,000 in purchases annually.

These fixed-rate cards ensure consistent rewards without complex tracking or activation requirements while offering opportunities for maximizing value through strategic redemption methods.
