United Airlines is set to introduce a new nonstop service between Chicago and Ontario, California, starting in May 2025. This marks the airline's fourth route to the southern California airport. Additionally, United will launch two more routes from Chicago to Billings and Halifax, operated by SkyWest Airlines.

The Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to Ontario International Airport (ONT) service will commence on May 22 with daily flights using the Boeing 737-800. The flight schedule includes UA1032 departing ORD at 19:55 and arriving at ONT at 22:26, while UA2144 leaves ONT at 07:00 and reaches ORD at 13:03. Alan Wapner, President of the Ontario International Airport Authority Board of Airport Commissioners, commented on the new service saying, "We are thrilled that United has chosen to add service from Ontario to its home base in Chicago."

Ontario Airport saw over seven million passengers in 2024, marking significant growth compared to previous years. Currently, United offers up to 28 weekly flights to Ontario from Denver, Houston, and San Francisco.

In addition to this route expansion, United will begin flights from Chicago to Billings on May 22 until October 25 and a weekly service to Halifax starting May 24 until September 2025. These services will be operated by SkyWest Airlines using Embraer E175 aircraft.

Meanwhile, United plans temporary additional flights for the Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans and intends to resume its Tel Aviv service on March 15 due to improved conditions in the Middle East. The airline will offer daily flights from Newark with a second daily flight beginning March 29.

Delta Air Lines also announced it would resume its New York JFK-Tel Aviv route in April with daily Airbus A330neo flights.
