San Bernardino International Airport announced that Fontana parents brought home-baked cookies to their children at Brigham Young University (BYU) on a flight from San Bernardino to Provo. The announcement, made on the social media platform X on December 27, also highlighted Breeze Airways' new twice-weekly nonstop service starting February 7.

Breeze Airways will operate nonstop flights between San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) and Provo Municipal Airport (PVU) beginning February 7, 2025. The flights are scheduled to depart San Bernardino at 7:50 p.m. and arrive in Provo at 10:33 p.m., with a flight duration of approximately 1 hour and 43 minutes. Fares for a one-way trip start at $39.

According to its website, in 2022, San Bernardino International Airport handled 1.39 billion pounds of all-cargo aircraft landed weight, marking a significant increase of 60% from the previous year's figure of 872 million pounds and a substantial rise of 197% from the 471 million pounds recorded in 2020. SBD ranked among the top 30 cargo airports in the United States, an improvement from its position within the top 60 in 2020 and its rank of 102nd place in 2018.

It began as San Bernardino Municipal Airport under Army Air Corps jurisdiction in 1941 before becoming Norton Air Force Base. Today, SBD operates as a commercial service airport, supporting passenger travel, cargo operations, and business aviation.
