Porter Airlines has announced the addition of four new domestic routes from Hamilton, Canada. These new connections will link the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) to Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, and Vancouver on a daily basis. This marks the first time Porter Airlines will operate flights from John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.

The airline highlighted its "distinct approach" to economy class travel, offering complimentary wine and beer in glassware and premium snacks for all passengers. The new routes will utilize the Embraer E195-E2 aircraft with a two-by-two seating configuration. Passengers can also opt for PorterReserve fares, which include fresh meals, premium cocktails on longer flights, extra legroom seats at the front of the aircraft, and additional booking features.

Michael Deluce, CEO of Porter Airlines, emphasized that this move represents a significant commitment to Hamilton's travelers: "Hamiltonians and their neighbours have long deserved a commitment such as what Porter is making." Deluce also noted potential opportunities for expanding Porter's network across North America from Hamilton.

Porter Airlines' new services align with ongoing enhancements at Hamilton Airport. Cole Horncastle, Executive Managing Director of Hamilton Airport, expressed optimism about this partnership: "Porter’s elevated economy service...are a perfect fit for the stress-free, convenient airport experience we offer here at Hamilton International."

With these new flights from Hamilton International Airport starting in June, Porter Airlines becomes the only carrier serving all three major GTHA airports. The competition between airlines intensifies as WestJet currently operates some of these routes with Boeing 737-700 aircraft.
