IHG is offering a promotion for its members to earn 500 IHG One Rewards points for free. Members can participate by downloading the IHG app and logging in. Although the value of these points is estimated at around $2.50, according to February 2025 valuations, it provides an easy opportunity for those who do not already have the app.
The promotion serves as a qualifying activity that prevents IHG One Rewards points from expiring after 12 months without any activity. This can be beneficial for members with points nearing expiration.
To participate, members must first register online for the promotion before downloading the app on an iOS or Android device and logging in. It should be noted that points will not appear immediately; it may take up to six weeks for them to post to accounts. The offer is available once per member and requires registration, download, and login by June 30.
