Las Vegas continues to uphold its reputation as the "Wedding Capital of the World," with a new initiative allowing couples to pick up their marriage licenses at Harry Reid International Airport. This pop-up Marriage License Bureau is set up in Terminal 1's baggage claim area, providing a convenient option for those flying in to get married.

The Clark County Clerk first introduced this service during Valentine's Day season in 2018, issuing 180 marriage licenses over nine days. Since then, except for a pause in 2021 due to COVID-19, the pop-up has been an annual feature each February. Paula Cook, Marriage Bureau Manager, stated, "Customers that are flying in love this."

This year, the bureau will operate from February 11 through February 25, accepting credit and debit cards for payments but not cash. The cost of a marriage license is $102, while vow renewal certificates are priced at $21, with an additional processing fee. Large digital signs throughout the airport guide travelers to the bureau.

With Valentine's Day falling on a Friday this year, the Clerk's Office anticipates surpassing its previous record from 2023 when 564 marriage licenses were issued over 13 days. Couples can expedite the process by completing paperwork online before arrival.

Additionally, visitors can view a special themed certificate featuring Las Vegas' skyline and classic Valentine conversation hearts. Starting February 10, they can also see the winning dress from the Wedding Dress Design of the Year contest at Howard W. Cannon Aviation Museum located above baggage claim.

While Valentine's Day remains popular for weddings in Las Vegas, other significant dates include unique numerical patterns like February 25 (2/25/25), March 14 (Pi Day), and several palindrome dates in May. Holidays such as Independence Day and Halloween also attract couples looking to tie the knot.
