Sun Country Airlines, an ultra-low-cost carrier based at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, has released its most frequent routes for February. The airline, which was founded in 1982 and operates scheduled and chartered flights to over 100 destinations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean, also serves as a contract cargo operator for Amazon Air.
According to Sun Country: "We focus on serving leisure and visiting friends and relatives (“VFR”) passengers and charter customers and providing CMI service to Amazon, with flights to destinations in North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Based in Minnesota, we operate an agile network that includes our scheduled service business and our synergistic charter and cargo businesses. We share resources, such as flight crews, across our scheduled service, charter and cargo business lines with the objective of generating higher returns and margins and mitigating the seasonality of our route network."
The data from Cirium highlights five routes originating from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP). These include Las Vegas (LAS) with 134 one-way flights; Phoenix (PHX) with 169; Cancun (CUN) with 186; Fort Myers (RSW) with 208; and Orlando (MCO), topping the list with 209 one-way flights.
